Ric Davy founded the firm in 1984 and as Senior Principal Architect he has devoted over 29 years of exceptional planning and architectural design services to the community with educational, institutional, commercial, healthcare, residential and hospitality projects. He creates functional building design solutions by providing the client with the best value and most sustainable design. Ric’s national architectural registration provides reciprocity in California, Arizona, Colorado and Nevada.
Kurt is a California and Nevada registered architect with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Ohio State University and a Master of Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design with over 27 years of experience and is an active member of the AIA. He lives and breathes architecture on a daily basis, teaching architectural design, theory and criticism at the NewSchool of Architecture and Design since 1989. He is also currently serving as the Interim Provost at NSA+D. As a practicing architect, Kurt has strong analytical, design and communications skills and an extensive knowledge of planning and architecture design solutions that contribute to Davy Architecture’s innovative and functional design solutions. His work has been published in periodicals such as Architecture and Texas Architect and won multiple design awards from the AIA and other committees in Ohio, Texas and California.
